Where We Are
Zaitun Luxury Suites is located in the picturesque vilagge of Karterados, which makes the location perfect as you are in the middle of the island. Today Karterados is a peaceful, scenic village with interesting architecture. As you walk along the quaint, paved paths you will meet the traditional, old cave houses built in a gorge.
In the central square you can admire a beautiful windmill and a memorial plaque for the fallen in World War II. It is mentioned in sources from the middle of the 17th century, while in the 19th century it was a large captain village of Santorini. Finally, Karterados holds remarkable churches and chapels. Notable is the Church of Ascension, whose steeple resembles a tower.
